Blockhouse Bay is known for its lovely beach. Many people picnic there in summer, with the large grass reserve area there is plenty of space for everybody. A playground caters for the Children and there are bush walks which many enjoy.
Community groups also have Christmas and Easter events there with stages set up for bands and entertainment.
